📊 Daily Health Equity Stat
In the United States, Black women experience maternal mortality at 44.8 deaths per 100,000 live births, compared to 14.2 for white women. That means Black mothers are more than three times more likely to die from pregnancy-related causes.
These disparities reflect systemic barriers in healthcare access, bias in medical treatment, and gaps in maternal health support.
At Bridge Care Connections, our mission is to help close these gaps by connecting underserved communities with healthcare education, care navigation, and advocacy.
